Deadliest Catch ‘The Hook’ Review

On the “Deadliest Catch” we follow 2 main fleets, the first fleet is the one at the southern part who is hunting for red king crab and the other fleet is in the northern Bering Sea looking for blue crab. We see that the hunt for the red crab is going good, but the blue crab hunting is not so much. On the blue crab front we see a bet being accepted by Junior as he accepts the bet that was made by skipper Elliott, the first one to hunt one hundred thousand pound of blue crab wins the bet, the bet is a thousand dollars. They are both way far from reaching 100,000 pounds, but Junior has the more weight so far, of course the sea will not give them the price that easy, as the sea starts to hit them with 40 foot waves. And of course, aboard the Ramblin’ Rose we see the crew being overworked in order to win as they want to get as much profits as they can and the skipper wants to win the bet.

Aboard the Wizard, the crew is very exhausted and we see Danny getting seriously injured and his leg is in a very bad state. And he has to work with this nagging pain in his leg. And as if this isn’t enough, they can’t find any blue crabs anywhere, so Keith is faced with a decision to make, either stay on the hunt for blue crab, or go to hunt some red crab and them come back to the blue crab, so he discusses it with his crew and the final decision is that they will go to the red crab fields to hunt some red crab. Onto another boat, the Kodiak, as we see Bill having to put up with an ambivalent crew, Bill though that he has cleaned deck and finally got a crew that is decent and cared, but seems that he haven’t and he is faced with another problem as Zack needs to take it up a notch and become the deck boss. And his first hook is a hit, but he isn’t always like that, so every once a while Bill comes to him and gives him some support and a few lessons.

Then we are introduced to Seabrooke docking their load, their count is good as they achieved a very good 57 thousand pound of blue crab, this is worth nearly 500,000 dollars. The Wizard offloads 39,000 pounds of blue crab. Kodiak offloads 68,000 pounds of red crab and Time Bandit offloads 49,000 pounds of red crab.
