Mike is the narrator of ‘Deadliest Catch’. He initially started out as a host of the show but Discovery Channel had a rethink when they decided to use him for another program ‘Dirty Jobs’ that was billed to run immediately after the airing of ‘Deadliest Catch’. They didn’t want a situation where the two programs would clash in the minds of the audience so they asked him to pick one out of the two where he will act as an on screen host. He picked ‘Dirtiest Jobs’ but in ‘Deadliest Catch’ it was his voice alone that was used as he became narrator for the American audience.

Mike Rowe was born Michael Gregory Rowe on the 18th of March 1962 in Maryland USA.

He graduated from Tucson University Maryland and has appeared in dozens of Tylenol commercials. He is a talented opera singer who sang with the Baltimore Opera.

As hot of ‘QVC’, he sold over a hundred million dollars of ‘simulated’ diamonds and he is a resident of San Francisco.
